Supplies Officer. No report made, pending A.G.M.
Magazine Editor. There would be advertising space available next season, the requested 'donation' being in the region of £25 per season. The advised reduction in second-class postage would be beneficial. The introduction of 'colour' to certain aspects of the magazine could be anticipated.
R.A. Delegate - Report. Meeting held at Cobham F.C. on the 29th March 1999. Concern was expressed that whilst referees indicate, initially, that they are seeking promotion, many do not give attention to submission of dates to the Advisory Secretaries. Greater care should be taken in this respect, for clearly, attention to paper work is important. Figures quoted at S.C.F.A. Council meeting recently provide the following information. Registered Referees, to date 1467 (98/99) 1421 (97/98) Personal Hearings, to date 232 161 Cautions 6783 6492 Sent-Off 1534 1677 Six a side Competition at Fetcham Park Utd. F.C. ground - 23rd May 1999. K.O. 2pm. Vets. competition available. Final date for renewal of Liability Insurance July 1st 1999 (If not registered by that date all cover will cease). In Service Training Session - 15th September 1999.
Other Business. Following a discussion on the appointment of match officials to County Cup Finals the meeting was advised that these are undertaken on 'merit' regardless of R.A. membership or not. Hon. Secretary informed the meeting that an allocation of 3 FA Cup tickets (£40.50 each with admin. Costs) had been allocated to the Society. It was agreed that allocation by the usual method, to those members present showing interest, would be undertaken. Due advice/warning was given as to the conditions imposed by the FA on the use of some. Hon. Secretary reminded members as to the proposed 'end of season' social event as detailed within the current issue of "Touchlines". The Hon. Secretary undertook to outline the relevant detail related to the annual award to the Society members of the Henry Hutt Trophy. As a result a discussion took place as to the possibility of a nomination form being provided within the March/April copies of the society magazine in each season whereby membership as a whole could be involved, not, as at present, those attending the A.G.M. Completed voting slips being sent to the Society President for compilation and subsequent presentation. It was requested that the matter, be discussed by the Society Committee.
There being no other business the meeting closed at 20.50hrs.
