Secretary's Report

This has been a quite month with literally no new correspondence to report to you.

By the time we meet I will have attended the county quiz along with Anthony Moore and Jeff Saunders and, who knows, we might even win with two such knowledgeable chaps alongside yours truly.

At the pre season committee meeting it was decided that it would be a good idea if we were to encourage members to speak about interesting items and or any problems that arise from the park on a Saturday and Sunday.  We know that Wimbledon Society seem to have this as an on going item with some success.

To kick-start such intercourse I will be facilitating a discussion by speaking on my experiences of getting the most possible enjoyment out of park football.  I might call this 'Parks Football Man Management' or just 'Getting the MOST from the Game'.  Whichever way I go I can promise you that the evening will be different, challenging and enjoyable.  You wont be bored with stories of how I have rubbed shoulders with this or that pro - because I haven't.

By the way, and on a completely different track, my league (Sutton & District) are on the lookout for some new blood to join our management committee.  The committee meets once a month in the Sutton Adult School, Benhill Avenue, Sutton and is chaired by our own Chris Burton.  It is a lively and enjoyable committee and anyone joining us would initially not have any specific function but rather just get the feel of how things are done. If interested speak to me, Chris or Roger Pink at the next meeting.
