Reading University are to undertake an examination of the RA's corporate image
and give a report towards the end of the academic year.

The General Secretary has already rejected THREE insurance claims forms due
To the claimant not having paid their subscriptions (which were due at the latest
by 1 July).

The RA has a new website at http://www.footballreferee.org/. This is a VAST
improvement on the original.

Societies have been asked to provide information as to numbers required to
enable the distribution to all referees of the FA booklet "Advice on the
Application of the Laws of the Game". Distribution is expected in early
December.

Steve Yianni (Croydon) died suddenly in January, aged 43. Our thoughts are with
his family. May he rest in peace.

The County FA has agreed to allow certain u16 (& upwards) youth leagues for
promotion from Class 3. Details are in the SCFA Handbook.

A Surrey Contributory League Assistant has been removed from the list due to
poor administration.

The autumn IST will take place on 18 October 2000 and will cover positional
play, recognition of foul play and recognition of injuries. If you haven't received
your invitation, contacted David Havenhand by telephone. His number can be
found in the County Handbook under Farnham Society's Training Officer.

Insofar as extra duties of Assistant Referees introduced in the LOAF this Season,
please note these do NOT apply to Club Assistants.

The County RA Secretary has a pair of goalkeeper's gloves left behind after the
County RA 6-a-sides in May. Would the owner please contact him.

County RA Quiz to be hosted by Redhill Society on 30 November. Venue:
Perrywood Sports & Social Club. 8.00pm.

Woking Society has issued a general invitation to their Christmas Social to be
held at Westfield Social Club on 1 December.

The County FA Secretary, Ray Ward, is aware that a number of SCFA Han
books have been sent out with blank pages, pages out of order and other sundry
errors. The SCFA is willing to replace any such handbooks in the hands of
referees who should return them to County Office. The SCFA will dispatch a r
placement and refund the postage.

Guildford on their 75th.
