Members are advised against officiating in the PITS small-sided competition (running in the Catford and Barnet areas) due to clubs not being registered. Although the competition is sanctioned, a referee has been assaulted and no action taken because there is no control over the clubs.

Repeated substitutions in Veterans and youth football under 16 and below is now possible provided the competition's Rules cover it. It means that a player, having been substituted, becomes a substitute and can play again in the same match.
The FA has also permitted the "Golden Goal" method of deciding matches provided the competition's Rules cover it. The FA or a County FA must sanction the competition.
