B. Please make sure all application forms are filled in properly. C. I.S.T. will be held on 18th October, the subject is positional play. A slightly different format will be used, it is hoped that this will be agreeable to all those that attend. D. I.S.T. on the 3rd September was devoted to youth referees. The evening went very well. 40 referees all under the age of 18 attended. The evening was so successful that the referees present have been invited to attend further development courses. E. I.S.T. on the 7th February 2001 is devoted to those going for promotion; the format is yet to be finalised.
Peter Watson now has in his possession a copy of the rules to Mini Soccer, if anyone is interested. During the summer John Martin was approached by the A.F.A. to run a training course. Out of the class of seventeen, five have signed up to join Sutton Society.
Supplies Officer. Made a request for a larger case, any offers? Apart from that plenty of stock. Tickets on sale for this evening's raffle.
Magazine Editor. In the absence of the Magazine Editor the Hon.Secretary mentioned on his behalf that more copy would be gratefully received.
RA Delegates/Report. Next meeting will be held on the 25th September. Peter Fenn and John Kasey will attend.
Other Business. John Kasey brought along a bag of referee kits of various sizes for anyone to help himself or herself to. Peter Rogers asked if we were still advertising the new society badge so that new members were aware that it existed. John Brown suggested that it would be a good idea to show all new members the badge. John Martin announced that the shield donated to the Society by Charlie Holiday's widow has now been made into a trophy. This will be presented annually to the referee who achieves the most during the season. Peter Watson has agreed to be the Chairman of a sub- committee, which will consist of three members. They will then decide who will receive the Charlie Holiday Trophy. Peter Fenn brought up the subject of roll on roll off substitutions. Could it be used at our level of football on a regular basis? John Brown mentioned that it was used in the veteran games but the substitutions must be made in accordance of the laws of the game.
Peter Watson gave a personal and touching account of Charlie Holiday.
Following an interval of ten minutes, the evening raffle was held; following that Peter Watson took to the floor. The discussion for the evening, new law changes.
