Minutes of meeting which took place on the 11th October 2000 at Sutton Utd. F.C. ground with 25 members present.
Apologies for absence. These were duly recorded as having been /received from, Brian Thornton, Mike Thorn, John Casey, Peter Moore and Anthony Moore.
Minutes of previous meeting. The details of which have been published within the current issue of the Society magazine were accepted by members present and duly signed by the Chairman.
Matters arising. None.
Hon-Secretary Report/Correspondence. David Crick is after e-mail addresses from members, so that he can keep everyone up-to-date with information. County Quiz is on the 30th November at the Perrywood Sports Club. A team of four is needed to represent Sutton Society,
Have received documents of the Consultation Exercise. There is a distilled version if anyone is interested. It may well be discussed at a future meeting, as feedback would be much appreciated from society members.
Hon. Treasurer-report. Money in bank £1,465.92 Money in Building Society £200 Cash in hand £22.61 Total £1,688.53
Membership stands at 55 plus 2 associate members. We ended last season with 64 members, excluding our AFA members that found this society in the summer. We are 14 members down on last season. There are no outstanding debts.
Training Officers-Report. Class of 15 candidates currently in progress. Exam will take place in November. Reminder that I.S.T. will be held on the 18th October 2000.
Supplies Officer. Still searching for a larger suitcase, any offers? Plenty of stock.
Magazine Editor. Has membership list of 78 names, would like to liase with the treasurer to discuss membership. Mailing list currently 105 will decrease next month, as this includes 15 students. Made a request for money for adverts. Content of copy has been very good. A big thanks to Peter Watson for his contribution. Apologised to John Martin for mislaying an article written by him, this has now been found and will appear in next month's issue of Touchlines. £5.22p per mile in travel expenses as mentioned on page 2 of this months society magazine is accurate. The magazine Editor went on to ask if ever the need arose and a witness had to attend a hearing with the referee, would the referee be liable to pay the witnesses expenses. Peter Fenn said he would make enquiries at the next RA Delegates meeting.
