A majority of Societies have now paid their Annual Subscriptions. Would the rest of you please do so as they are due by the end of September. Defective County FA Handbooks - see Minute 254[e] Provision of FA booklet "Advice on the Application of the Laws of the Game" - see Minute 247[f]. It is absolutely vital that I have this information by the end of October. As an Association we have created a deal of a fuss over the provision of this booklet to all members so it will be a bit embarassing if we don't give the information requested. The RA intend to issue the Management Consultants' Report to Societies in October. They suggest it would be of benefit of Societies arrange a meeting to discuss the contents and issues arising so that efficient feedback can be achieved. Something for you to consider.
3 REMINDER…
Next IST is on 18 October - anyone not having received an invitation to contact David Havenhand. County RA Quiz is on Thursday, 30 November at Perrywood Sports & Social Club hosted by Redhill Society. It would be prudent to start assembling your team NOW and recruit at least five people (to cater for last minute drop-outs!). Papers will be issued shortly. County RA 5-a-sides are at Woking Leisure Centre on Sunday, 7 January k/o 3.00pm.
I have received an enquiry as to whether sufficient female member referees would be interested in taking part in a friendly match at either the 5-a-sides (on 7/1/01) or the 6-a-sides (on 13/5/01) or both.
Obviously, no Society has sufficient female members to form a team on their own so we would have to have two 'mixed' teams. Non-RA members would not be eligible.
Our female colleagues are not allowed to compete in mixed football under FA Regulation and it is only right that they are given the opportunity to play the game we all love.
Please would you enquire of your female members as to whether they might be interested and, if so, please let me know and I will see whether it is a viable proposition to stage a match.
