Matters Arising. None.
Hon. Secretary. Thanked all members of the Society for there help this season and also thanked the Committee members for all there hard work. Thanked all society members who gave talks at previous meetings this season and asked as we move into the next, if anyone has any skills or hobbies they would like to share with us at next seasons meetings John Brown mentioned that if anybody was interested in taking on the role as Hon. Secretary please contact him. He would be willing to stay on if necessary, but found it particularly hard to motivate himself as he has so many obligations within the R.A.
Hon. Treasurer. I am pleased to announce that the small losses of the past two years have been turned into a trading gain. Income Membership was slightly increased by four over 98/99 but training income was down, although we trained fewer people, income was also reduced by a change in training fee for the Training Officers. This is now paid to the individual rather than the Society. Also worth mentioning is the £81.00 from raffles. This means that the Christmas Social and Quiz night were covered, whereas in previous years we had made a loss on both. I would like to thank all those that contributed prizes to those evenings. Finally the RA draw has been consistent for years, but for 2000/2001 we have been very disappointing with only half the books returned. I give notice now those fees will increase next season as the RA is increasing subscriptions.
Expenditure These are very consistent as you can see. The significant decrease being supplies which was up last year due to a new supply of ties. I would like to thank Dave Churchley for keeping magazine costs so steady. I would also like to thank the Auditors.
Training Officers. A very poor year as far as the amount of Trainees, but still a 99% pass rate. The 3P system for newly qualified referees is now in practice.
Magazine Editor. Thanked everyone who contributed articles this season for the Society Magazine. Although the quality of the articles was extremely good none of them were reproduced in the national Football Referee Magazine. Other Societies did however use some of our articles for there own Society Magazines. A particular thank you to John Brown who came to the rescue many times, during the season with so many great articles.
Supplies Officer. Sales have gone up this year. £160.70p of goods in stock.
