RA Bits

· David Norman (Croydon) has been appointed the County RA's Recruitment & Retention Officer. He has long association with the County RA having served as Secretary and then as Divisional EC Member for many years.

Roy Elliott (Redhill) passed away on 8 November. May he rest in peace.

·
The FA "Advice on the Application of the Laws of the Game" booklet has been supplied by the County FA for all members who passed their exam over 5 years ago. Society Delegates took delivery at their recent meeting and they will distribute at their Societies. A big "Thank you" to the SCFA for providing these. Please ensure that, if you fall in this bracket of service, you pick one up at your next Society meeting.

Updated Income Tax guidelines have been sent to Society Secretaries. Please ensure this information is obtained from them so that your Tax Return can be completed correctly.

The RA is selling some items of supplies via the internet on a trial basis.

Please note the dates for the next few ISTs: 7 February 2001 will be for promotion candidates of both classes though others will be welcome.
24 May 2001 - topic under discussion & venue to be confirmed.
9 September 2001 - for under 18s and new referees at Tolworth Court.

County RA Quiz due to be hosted by Redhill on 30 November was cancelled as only 4 teams were to take part. This puts the future of the competition in serious doubt.

County Long Service Awards have been approved for Fred Cook (Dorking) and Geoff Comley and Vic Rolland (Guildford).

·
County RA inter-Society 5-a-side competition is on Sunday,7 Janurary 2001 at Woking Leisure Centre (k/o 3.00pm)

Do you want to go for promotion in Season 2001/02 and are not on the current scheme? If so, apply to County Office for a form "R5". Complete it and send it in. It only costs you a 'phone call and a 27p stamp!!
