RA Delegates/Report. Nothing to report.
Other Business.
Peter Fenn raised the subject of warming up before a match. A discussion on the various methods of pre-match warm-ups ensued.
John Brown advised everyone who regularly referees at whatever level to maintain his or her fitness levels, this is especially important with so many matches being cancelled due to the bad weather.
John Martin attended the Wimbledon Society meeting on Monday evening. It was mentioned that many local teams are looking to play on artificial pitches due to congestion caused by the bad weather. Unless these matches are sanctioned by the league and the Surrey County FA sanctions the pitches; you must not referee these matches.
Roger Pink mentioned that some evening 5-aside leagues are fining players that are cautioned or sent off during matches. This is not allowed, organisers cannot fine players but the individual clubs can. Officiating at these events could land you as a referee in some bother so be warned.
Meeting closed at 20.45.
