As you are aware, the next meeting on February 14th, is the annual Quiz Night, when we invite other Societies and groups to come along and pitch their knowledge against the might of Sutton Society. Unfortunately, since the first year, when the Quiz was 'in house', Sutton have not won this competition. So with this in mind, we need as many Sutton teams as possible to turn out, so we can at least outnumber the guests and possibly win by strength alone.
As mentioned at the last meeting, this is also an ideal opportunity to dispose of those unwanted Christmas gifts and donate them to the Raffle. So lets see if we can get 7 teams of 4 from Sutton alone, which would mean an almost 50% turn out. See you on the 14th with your prizes.
Enclosed with this issue of the Touchline is your Registration Form for the season 2001/2. You will note the slight increase in fee as mentioned at the last AGM. Please return these forms to me by 31st March 2001, so as to guarantee your continued membership of the Sutton and District Society and to the Referee's Association.
