Mouth outbreak.
5)  The wording rule covering rolling substitutes for under 16 and over 35 football is being re-examined and is likely to be changed.
6)  The FA are producing interactive CD ROMS on 'Position and Movement' which should be available soon. They are also making Multi-Media kits available at a cost of £5400 and apparently at this price 20 systems need to be purchased.
6)  For the season 2001 - 02 there will be a new system of grading referees that will replace the current 1,1X, 2, 2X & 3 system. The new grades are as follows: -


1 International Class Referees
2 Panel Referees
3 Contributory League Referees
4 Supply League Referees
5 Senior Class 1 Referees
6 Current Class 2 Referees
7 Current Class 3 Referees
8 Youth Referees
9 Trainee Referees
10 Non Active Referees.


7)  There will be 10 new regional paid officers to organise and oversee training and adverts for these positions will appear in April.
8)  Examiners are still required to assist with the examining of candidates at the county exams. Training is 'On the job' and basically consists of the trainee examiners sitting with experienced examiners first and them doing the examining themselves with an experienced examiner sitting with them. Answers to all the questions are provided on a sheet. What you offer the system is your ability to listen and interpret the trainees words based on the correct answers and your own practical experience of refereeing.
9)  The next IST will be on the 24
th May and is open to all referees.
10)  Peter and John will be organising the  IST which will take place on 6
th March 02 and will be a promotion candidates seminar.
11)  The FA is publishing a new fitness guide to encourage greater match fitness amongst referees in general.

Supplies Officer.
Martin could not be at the meeting and the secretary ceremoniously opened the case. It was rumored that there was plenty of stock - we await Martins return next month for a full update. 

Magazine Editor.
David also was not able to be at the meeting.
The secretary made the usual plea on David's behalf asking for copy to be sent direct to David, by email if possible, with a closing date of the end of the month.
