Minutes of meeting which took place on the 14th March 2001 at Sutton Utd. F.C. ground with 16 members present.
Apologies for absence. These were duly recorded as having been received from, Anne Lappin, Mike Thorn, Dave Churchley, John Martin, Mark Walker, Martin Hyams and Roger Pink
Minutes of previous meeting. The details of which have been published within the current issue of the Society magazine were accepted by members present, proposed by Martin Hyams and seconded by Mike Taylor and duly signed by the Chairman.
Matters arising. None.
Hon-Secretary Report/Correspondence. Members were reminded that their registration forms must be returned to county office ASAP to ensure they remain registered for next season and covered by insurance should they be officiating in the close season. Also that they only need to send a single cheque of £7 and not 2 cheques of £7 with the second one being for the FA.
The included FA form is gathering information for the WANFAS project and will be used in the make up of the referees' section of the database. Members are urged to respond to the questionnaire that was included.
We have not received any application forms for the cup final this year and members were asked if they wanted the secretary to pursue the matter. Secretary was instructed to follow up on the ticket allocation.
Hon. Treasurer-report. Hon Treasurer was not present but had asked the secretary to announce that the books close at the end of the month and that any bills must be submitted before that date. Treasurer has received very few membership renewal forms and even less raffle ticket - please get these sent back ASAP. A financial statement will appear in the next months magazine. There are no outstanding debts.
Training Officers-Report. 1) Current class is going well and they will be taking their exam next week. 2) SCRATOC have issued a child protection booklet containing sample forms and any member involved in youth football would be well advised to seek information on the standards expected and required of adults supervising other peoples children. 3) A 2 tier training system is now running in 23 counties and works as Tier 1 for persons interested in gaining the knowledge but not going on to referee and Tier 2 being the full course as currently run for all trainees. 4) The promotional stand that was to be held at the Surrey County Show has been canceled as the Show was called off re the Foot &
